Your assistant
Every member gets a personal workspace with an assistant in it. Talk with your assistant is private; work it asks for lands in the workspace that owns it.
The personal workspace
- Created automatically at sign-up, sign-in or invite acceptance, one per person per account. It is named "Personal".
- Only its owner can open it. Account admins cannot.
- The assistant (slug
assistant, "Chief of staff") is seeded from core's template; after that it belongs to you, like any agent you can edit.
Asking your workspaces
In your personal workspace the assistant has two extra tools: list_my_workspaces and ask_workspace. Ask it about a deal or a release and it asks the workspace that knows:
- The asked workspace's own lead agent answers, in a conversation that workspace's members can see. So the work lands where it belongs.
- The assistant names the workspace each fact came from, with a link.
- The cost of that answer is charged to the workspace that answered.
- A workspace you can't open reads as "not found".
What needs you, and your day
- Review (
/dashboard/inbox) can show items from every workspace you're in, your own first. Workspaces it can't read are listed as unavailable rather than silently dropped. - Briefings (
/dashboard/briefings) holds your personal brief: what waits on you plus each workspace's latest news.
Text and Slack
Text (SMS). Set TWILIO_ACCOUNT_SID and TWILIO_AUTH_TOKEN, point the Twilio number's webhook at POST /api/webhooks/twilio/sms, and bind it once:
curl -X POST https://<host>/api/v1/chat-bindings \
-H "Authorization: Bearer vcn_live_..." -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"surface":"sms","channelId":"+15555550100","answers":"sender"}'
Each sender reaches their own assistant, matched by the phone number on their profile. Unknown numbers get a one-line hint and nothing runs.
Slack. Set VOCION_SLACK_EVENTS=1, SLACK_SIGNING_SECRET, SLACK_BOT_TOKEN and SLACK_BOT_USER_ID, and point the Slack app's events at /api/webhooks/slack. Mention an agent and it replies in the thread.
Deciding by reply. When a card is raised in a thread, a plain-words reply in that same thread can decide it. A model reads the reply against that one card (never keyword matching), it acts as the Vocion member the sender resolves to, and the decision is recorded like any other. Slack has no approve buttons.
